Composed of “Mama” (mother) and the diminutive “ye”, “Mamaye” is an affectionate term for “my mother” in Eritrea and Ethiopia.
The name is a tribute to all mothers who have preserved and shared culture and traditions across borders. "Mamaye" values sacrifice and honors the warmth and hospitality we experience through food. Every dish connects hearts and creates memories.

Who we are?
Our story began as two expectant parents working from home and a supportive mother-in-law who always gave us delicious traditional food.
When we shared it with colleagues, it was a hit. What started as family support became our big thing—spreading Mamaye, bringing community and pure joy to the table. We never planned it this way, but hey, it's our life now!

Yes, all our dishes are 100% vegan and gluten-free.
Our sauces have a shelf life of up to 24 months when stored unopened and refrigerated—free from any additives. Once opened, the contents should be refrigerated and consumed within 2 days.
